Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Walk with Mentors. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at support@edgemobiletech.com. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen; deletion is permanent and removes your journal entries, reading plan progress, and mentor conversations within 24 hours.

3. Your Content

You retain all ownership of the content you create in Walk with Mentors — your journal entries, scanned pages, reflections, and any media you upload (“Your Content”). We claim no ownership over Your Content.

To operate the App we need a limited license: you grant us permission to store, process, encrypt, back up, and transmit Your Content solely to deliver the Service to you (for example: syncing your entries between devices, generating mentor responses, running OCR on scanned pages). We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it to train AI models.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any law, regulation, or the rights of others.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Use AI mentor features to generate content for commercial redistribution without our written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

Walk with Mentors may offer optional paid features (“Pro”) through in-app purchase. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. You can cancel at any time in the App Store; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

During the beta period (April–June 2026) most features are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to change which features require a subscription after the beta ends; you will be notified in-app before any changes take effect.

6. Mentor Content

Our AI mentor responses are generated by large language models using retrieval-augmented generation over public-domain and properly licensed source material. Mentor responses are for reflection and encouragement and are not a substitute for professional spiritual direction, counseling, or medical advice.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and storage), Anthropic (AI), Apple (distribution), and Azure (document recognition). Your use of the App is also subject to those providers’ terms, listed in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Your Content will be preserved without loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of anything irreplaceable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EDGE Mobile Technologies LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Sections 3 (Your Content), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Colorado.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
